The Miss Reno Juneteenth Scholarship Program, presented by Shades of Queening, is a transformative opportunity for young Black women in Northern Nevada to showcase their leadership, resilience, and vision for the future. Rooted in the celebration of Juneteenth, this program honors freedom, culture, and the continued pursuit of excellence within our community.

We are proud to provide a platform that not only celebrates beauty and confidence but also uplifts academic achievement, community involvement, and personal growth. Participants have the opportunity to earn scholarship funding to support their educational goals while gaining valuable experience in leadership, public speaking, and community engagement.
