Queens in the Making
Queens in the Making is dedicated to empowering young women, providing them with resources and connections to develop their social, cultural, and academic potential. Through mentoring we provide support and guidance to encourage creativity, individuality, and integrity. Along with in school curriculum and support, Queens in the Making provides out of school activities, "field trips", and gatherings. These include, but are not limited to, tours of the University of Nevada Reno, attendance of a Women's basketball game, fitness days, end of the year party, hygiene kits. Queens in the Making swag, and more!
Crown to Slipper Fitness
Crown to Slipper Fitness days encourage participants to not only get active but also understand the importance of it. Queens in the Making participate in several activities and while learning about healthiness!
Mentoring Meet Up Session
A great opportunity for Queens to connect with young Queens in the Making. This past year, it was held virtually. However, this event usually consists of answering any questions the mentees may have and showing them all that we do as an organization.
Paint Night
Our mentors and mentees always look foward to paint night! It is an opportunity to express yourself while connecting with the community. It is always an exciting experience seeing the work that our Queens in the Making produce with their passion and skills.
