Uplifting, Empowering, and Supporting Black Women and Girls in Northern Nevada

 

Shades of Queening is a community-driven nonprofit organization based in Reno, Nevada, dedicated to creating safe, affirming spaces for Black women and girls to connect, heal, and thrive. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to uplift, empower, and support Black women, young to wise, through intentional programming, community events, and mental wellness initiatives.

We recognize that Black women often carry the weight of their communities while navigating unique social, emotional, and cultural challenges. Shades of Queening was created to ensure that they also have spaces where they can be poured into, supported, and celebrated.
